James Bond and a magician meet the Doctor in this incarnation - he's smooth and has lots of gadgets.
Basic Markers:
- red, moss green, purple, or black velvet smoking jacket with frog closures
- black Inverness double-wing cape with red or purple silk lining (red lining with black coat, purple lining with red coat)
- white or grey-blue ruffled dress shirt
- red or black bow tie
- bonus points if you roll in on Bessie, his canary-yellow Edwardian roadster

Keep an eye out for Austin Powers costumes around Halloween as that red coat is very similar. For the Inverness cape, MakingMy3rdDoctorCostume has a great post how he drafted and made his own pattern for his. He also has a post about the green velvet coat when it went up for auction. There's also a red & green plaid Inverness single-wing cape in a few episodes if you manage to find that or a similar fabric to make one.
